November muskie club night in Nisswa with guest speaker Gregg Thomas — free, open to the public, and a warm room for muskie stories once the boat is mostly in the shed.
The Brainerd Lakes Chapter of Muskies Inc has its November meeting on the books, and the chapter calendar lists Gregg Thomas as the guest speaker. It’s free and open to the public, 7 p.m. at the Nisswa American Legion, same as every second Tuesday. Non-members can just walk in. Nobody checks your tackle box at the door.
Look, by the second week of November most of us have winterized the boat, un-winterized it for one more trip, then winterized it again while muttering. This is a warm room full of folks who’d rather talk about a 50-inch fish than rake leaves, and honestly, that’s the right call. Bring a friend, maybe win a raffle, and pick up something useful for the open water you’ve got left.
