Masters Walleye Circuit — Cass Lake 2027 Season Finale
The Masters Walleye Circuit wraps its 2027 qualifying season on Cass Lake out of Stony Point Resort, Sept. 17–18, 2027. It's the last ticket punch before the World Walleye Championship.
Cass Lake gets the last word again. The Masters Walleye Circuit’s 2027 schedule closes the qualifying season on Cass Lake, Friday–Saturday, September 17–18, 2027, out of Stony Point Resort. The circuit calls it “a favorite stop enjoyed by MWC anglers and staff alike.” From there the top teams head to the World Walleye Championship on Lake Winnebago, Oct. 14–16.
If you watched this year’s finale, you know Cass in September doesn’t hand anything out. The 2026 winners worked 25 to 40 feet on the main lake with jigs and crawlers, casting at more than a hundred fish to get five to bite. That’s not fishing, that’s dating in your thirties. With a slot-style cull of two “overs” and the rest as close to 20 inches as you can get without going over, a weigh-in at Stony Point turns into tape-measure theater.
Fine print: MWC lists the 2027 schedule as “pending permit approvals from the various agencies.” Take-off and weigh-in times, entry fee, and registration aren’t posted yet, so check the circuit closer to the date.
